Ceramic vase and santarelli enamel. Italy, 50s origin italy period 50s brand ceramics santarelli alfredo santarelli founded in 1900 in gualdo tadino, where in the thirteenth century the furnaces of francesco biagioli called the monina stood, a laboratory without furnace in which, in addition to forming the new ones workers, manufactures ceramics that cooks at an external oven. In 1907 and 1912 the manufacture obtained a cup of honor and a grand prix in perugia and in 1908 it was gold medal in gubbio. From the early years of the twentieth century, some important mandatti of the company have, in addition to the logo of the same, the 'ronconi' writing inserted inside a triangle, as a brand of the distributor for foreign countries. In 1921, helped by his wife eleonora sergiacomi and his son vittorugo, he enlarged the factory by providing it with modern equipment and opens a free design school applied to the ceramic decoration. In 1926 the manufacture adhered to the 'italian artistic majolica consortium' to which he remained linked until 1933. Between 1929 and 1930 he collaborated with the manufacture the sculptor enrico cagianelli. In 1940 alfredo santarelli, while continuing the production, left the direction of the company to his son. In the 1940s, in addition to creating ceramics with metal lusters of ancient tradition, the company started a modern style production, inspired by the decorative line of nearby deruta. In 1953 the manufacture was detected by the ceramista derutese cesare teobaldo pimpinelli and alfredo santarelli, with the help of his son and ezio rondelli, founded a company called 'ceramiche di gualdo and deruta prof. A. Santarelli' which remains active until 1955. In 1955 the new manufacture, which is based in via monina 11 in gualdo tadino, was also detected by pimpinelli. The production brands are in gold or ruby red from 1900 to 1921 and subsequently in blue. Source ceramic and nail polish materials dimensions h 13 cm ø 16.5 cm.
