A Mo'ai Kavakava a small wooden figure of a style originated by the Rapa Nui culture of Easter Island, and this one resembles several of the gargantuan heads on slightly bent upper torsos of a male body.
This figurine is carved from a darkened and stained Ebony wood and measures 3.75" in width, 3" in depth, and 9.88" in height.
There is no maker's mark, however, it comes from an estate sale of adventurous world travelers and was acquired in the 1960s in conjunction with other figurines they collected.
