Comprising an original 19th century finely carved walnut German Black Forest figural hare head, exquisitely detailed with original glass eyes; affixed to richly figured exotic rosewood shaft adapted from a parasol or walking stick handle; with large convex lens mounted in circular silver-tone metal frame rim embellished with diminutive beaded trim and repousse etched ornamentation.

Large size and substantial proportions, functional and highly decorative, it makes for a fascinating curiosity, sophisticated desk accessory, elegant folk artwork, or interesting sculptural object.
