These were typically used for Liquids - Spring Water - Ciders - Hard Cider and Other Spirits. It has a Beautiful Cobalt Blue Hand Decorated Stylized Floral Design on the Front on a on a Classic American Salt Glaze Exterior. The Decoration also includes the Number 2 Denoting its 2 Gallon Liquid Storage Capacity. It is Embossed - Signed by the Well Documented New York Maker LYONS. It is in Very Good All Original Condition and it Displays Beautifully. It has No Damage - No Cracks - No Chips & No Repairs. It has a Few Kiln Glaze Imperfections - Spots Etc. Around the Base - Outer Perimeter that Would Have Occurred in the Making - Kiln Firing Process. These Types of Utilitarian Stoneware Items Were Fired in Large Kilns in Batches with Many Other Pieces at the Same Time and They are Quite Common.
