Designed by Olle Alberius, Circa 1950's. This is a discontinued pattern and a gorgeous heavy crystal bowl. Purchased in an antique store twenty years ago in Hamburg, Germany. Signed at the base with Orrefors; number A 4335-131. Approximate measurements; 6H, 7.5D inches. Weighs 9lbs, 15 oz.

Olle Alberius (1926–1993) was one of Sweden’s leading glass and ceramic artists in the 20th century. After his art studies at ”Konstfack” in Stockholm, he worked for the companies Syco, Rörstrand, and Orrefors in the 1950s to 1990s. Olle became a prominent designer of art glass and pottery, often with intense colors and geometric motifs. His artistry is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design. See less
