Philadelphia Empire brass andirons, circa 1830s of important size. This pair of period andirons is of seamed brass construction with hand wrought rear legs.
Below, the scrolled legs terminate in ball foot pairs. Unusual is the central drop turning below the standard and, if you look carefully in the picture, you will see that the these also have brass log rests.
Polish on these is beautiful and looks as if it has an almost gilt finish. These will add style and importance to your fireplace.
