Royal Doulton Character Jug; Red Queen D6777. This is the large jug, hand made and decorated in England. Designed by William K. Harper. Series: Alice in Wonderland. First edition in 1987 by Royal Doulton. Marked at base.
A character from Lewis Carroll’s; Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, The Queen of Hearts shows her suit on the blade of an axe and cries, 'Off With His Head' Issued in 1987, it was the first in the Alice in Wonderland series.
This fine example came from a private California estate, where the gentleman had collected nearly fifty porcelain jugs, that span three decades, and are available in our store on Chairish.
