This resplendent rattan beauty, handwoven in a market basket shape, is nicely-sized and quite eye-catching with its five-part handle. The bottom is handwoven in a netting pattern while the underside has a slightly elevated base to prevent wear; cross stretcher for durability. The body of the basket is handwoven from rattan weavers woven between rattan spokes in a cross pattern. Five-part handle is made from bent rattan spokes that have been woven into the basket for strength and longevity. Color is honeyed hue of naturally aged rattan that has a lacquer finish. Structurally sound and in excellent condition with age-appropriate wear. This beauty measures 18” high including the handle (9¾” without the handle); 14” x 12” W/D; interior 9” x 13½” x 11¾” H/W/D; weight 11 oz.; handcrafted in China sometime in the 1960s. Texturally and visually appealing with a beautiful display of craftsmanship and precision. Its rustic flair will add a relaxed touch of charm in any space.
