The lid has a piece of real coral wrapped in wire. This box has brass surrounding top and bottom edges with tiny brass nails to hold in place. The interior is lacquered in places and lined in black felt and so is the bottom to avoid scratching of a surface the box rests on. Great as a catchall and displays beautifully. See less
