Ballerina China was produced by Universal Pottery in the 1940s-50s out of Cambridge, OH. They introduced permacal glaze which was fade-proof. The line was highly popular and graceful, elegant and dishwasher safe, which was all-the rage as more home were buying dishwashers in the 1950s. But the biggest selling point were the mix and match solid colors and florals. These dinner plates feature a fall foliage design.
