was launched on the ideal home exhibition in march 1966 and became an instant pop art classic!

designed as throw-away furniture, they were distributed by mail order. In those days a revolutionary distribution system. It became a succes with young families due to the low cost of production and distribution.
not only a hit in the uk, it became well known in france, germany, italy and the usa as well. A tin of paint was included so you could restore or repaint your furniture in a different colour!

tomotom furniture was even on display in the parisian exhibition of contemporary-seating 1925-1968.

production ceased in 1971. Today they are rare and sought after because not many survived and are becoming a true collectors item. The chair we have for sale was shipped to germany and sold by the german paidi: a well known distributor for children's furniture (see original label). This piece has an attribution mark,
