Early 1900s French Oscar Gutherz Limoges Plates. These hand-painted porcelain plates have a Lustreware-like appearance. The green one has a gilt flower design over the green band. The gilt flowers on pinkish-purple plate are faint from wear. They would look great hung on a wall or arranged in a cabinet with various other Lustreware plates.
Originally, in the late 1800s, Oscar Gutherz was a Limoges, France porcelain decorator. Later, he started a porcelain decorating business with Maximilian Marx in Altrolau, Czechoslovakia in 1884, using financial backing from the American importer Lazarus Straus & Sons. The company subsequently expanded into porcelain production
