A good sized 1950's Chinese porcelain 'hat stand' vase. This hand painted piece has rich colorful enamels in the traditional Rose Medallion / Mandarin design with traditionally clad figures gathered in a courtyard. Other panels depict colourful birds, flowers, and lots of gold highlighting. Main colours are red, green, pink and gold. Overall a pleasing palette of colours.
Can be used as a vase for fresh or dried flowers.
Stamped on the underside with Hong Kong hallmark in red. Pieces like this are no longer made in Hong Kong. A little bit of history.
Condition is excellent. Red stamp on underside reads Hong Kong Final Process". Date 1960s.
