For an active young family’s vacation home in Tahoe, San Francisco-based designer Kelly Hohla turned a sleek concrete-and-glass structure into a welcoming oasis of comfort and ease, open to the sky and the stunning surrounding landscape.

  • Working with architect Shay Zak of Zak Architecture, designer Kelly Hohla sought to create a sense of comfort and shelter within the home's grand scale, and to highlight the owners's art collection. The living room sofa by Joseph Jeup is upholstered in a Romo fabric, the gray chair by Studio Van den Akker is covered in a Lee Jofa fabric, the plaid chairs are by Coup Studio, and the bronze cocktail table is by Tuell + Reynolds; the dining chairs in the background are by Studio Van den Akker, the light fixture is by Gabriel Scott, and the painting is by Nathan Oliveira.
