    About

    Shop Banner

I'm Polish painter and art historian, based in Lisbon (Portugal). I'm fascinated by nature, especially the world of plants with it's variety of shapes, structures, textures and colors. Since childhood my attention has been directed to the ephemeral beauty of flowers. I was intrigued by the movements of stems in search of light, the fantastic shapes of tulips while getting wilt, peonies stamen forms, the variety of wild flowers’ colours.

I continued my studies with painting, architectural drawing, ceramic and silk painting in France and Portugal, which made my fully aware of work based on shapes and colors. In painting and drawings, I try to portray the chosen species and to capture their movement. The use of strongly marked outlines and background without depth is inspired by Japanese woodblock prints from the Edo period and European styles from the end of XIXth and beginning of the XXth c.

I work and regular expose in Portugal. My works are in private collections in, Italy, Poland, Germany, England, Switzerland and in United States.
