    About

    Shop Banner

    Feel the Calm of Mediterranean.
    Meaningful objects for meaningful living.

Virmary is a small brand of handmade decorative ceramic objects. It started in 2020, born out of the moment of global re-evaluation and a deep desire to cultivate a habit for intentional living. Our ethos is inspired by the Slow Food movement, and translates its values to design.

We are troubled and concerned by the pace and dispensability of contemporary material culture. Production and consumption systems most common today are harmful to the earth, to its ecosystems and to the peoples that inhabit it. However, we feel the need to surround ourselves with beautiful things and to create spaces that express our personality, exercise the right to pleasure without harming the existence of others or the environmental equilibria of the planet we live on.

We revive the value of patience, attention and consistency, good work for its own sake.

As Richard Sennet writes: “Craftsman-time is the slow time that enables reflection.” This is the Time we want to inhabit; the one that is marked by rituals of pause and slow observation. And we invite you to join us on that journey.

All items in the collection are produced in limited editions, each piece is numbered and accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity. We like to think of these objects as precious collectible gifts, acts of care for a dear friend, loved one or yourself, loyal companions to cherish and pass over time.

Imagine, if you try not to rush yourself and have faith in the process?
