Hi, I am so honored you are here.

I would love to tell you a little about my self and how I came to do what I do.

I was born and raised in Brazil, then moved to Puerto Rico at the age of 14. From there I hopped around to the US, Brazil, Canada and back to Puerto Rico where I met my future husband. We got married in Utah and lived there for 10+ years and now we reside in California. I am a wife, mamma of 2 beautiful boys, and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints.

I love to express my self through a creative outlet, which happens to be painting almost anything I can get my hands on. I love to refinish vintage furniture to create beautifully fresh new furniture pieces and vintage home decor. I love to add finishing details through shading, molds, glazes, blending of different colors and ultimately creating something fresh, unique and a statement piece for your home.

...The first thing I ever remember painting was a barely 1 bedroom apartment I rented in Puerto Rico, it had all gray cement walls with no character whatsoever. I remember I wanted, no, NEEDED color. So I went to what I think was Home Depot and found the most bright orange and purple color I could find that bordered on florescent. I went home, painted the front room/kitchen purple, bedroom orange and bathroom purple; and I LOVED it. Fast forward a few years, and we painted both our boys bedrooms and all the baby furniture, then when we moved to Cali, we painted all the decor and bedroom furniture in the boys rooms and the more I painted the more I realized what a relaxing and rewarding feeling it was to have that vision in my head come to life! And so, I started buying pieces with the purpose of re-painting to sell, and Treasures By Mariana was born.
