Tiziri means "moonlight" in Tamazight, the language of the Amazigh weavers who have made these rugs for centuries.
Every piece here is hand-knotted in Morocco from 100% natural sheep's wool - Beni Ourain, Boujaad, Azilal, Beni Mrirt. No machines. No repeats. Each rug is woven once, in one place, at one moment, and when it sells it is gone.
We choose them in person: the Atlas Mountains, the souks of Marrakech, the cooperatives of the Middle Atlas. Not ordered from a catalogue. Found. We bring fewer pieces than most sellers, and that is deliberate.
Everything in this shop is already in the United States, at our studio outside Boston - not drop-shipped from overseas. The rug in the photographs is the exact rug that ships, and it arrives in days rather than months.
Designers: message us for additional photography, precise measurements, or a video of the pile. We reply the same day.
