In 2020, partners Leo Lupieri and Andrea Nieto met while vacationing in the Croatian coastal city of Dubrovnik.
During their many other trips within the country of Croatia, Chicago native Andrea fell in love with the warm, eclectic, yet still traditional style in Croatian architecture, furniture, and art.
Combining her vision for timeless interior design and Leo's knowledge of Croatian history and culture, they created the Zagreb-based vintage and antique home decor shop The Motherland Collection.
The Motherland Collection specializes in finding/selling unique interior pieces of Croatian descent and ships them to homes worldwide.
