Steven Postans Antiques was established in 1975, and supplies 18th and 19th century antiques to Dealers, Auction Houses, Designers & Decorators and the Public. We buy antiques all over the United States as well as directly importing English and Continental 18th and 19th century antiques and have over 2000 pieces in our 28,000 square foot warehouse located in Sarasota, FL.

For over 40 years Steven and Kim Postans, natives of England, have been dealing in antiques and have extensive experience in the antique business. Steven Postans Antiques also provides a quality restoration department. Their professional craftsmen have been formally certified in the specialized art of French polishing. Their many skills encompass the often diverse aspects of fine antique refinishing and restoration. Having an on-site workshop gives them the flexibility to offer antique pieces that may require repair or revitalization. Commonly, the extent of restoration performed on a chosen piece, is established by the customer’s personal style and preference.
