We are mother (Linda) and daughter (Melissa) designers located in the quaint little mountain town of Ellijay, Georgia just North of Atlanta.
Melissa has a local boutique in the downtown area where you may visit and view all the wonderful furniture and home decor pieces created by The Cow Pelt.
We spend our creative time enjoying the restoration of antiques and producing eclectic pieces from vintage furniture and décor. Our objective is updating the old into a modern style or keeping the authenticity of its true character and sometimes giving pieces a fun, funky twist. There are many furniture styles in our inventory from Jacobean, William and Mary, Queen Anne, Regency, Chippendale, Federal, French, Empire, etc. that are awaiting for a new innovative look. All items are either restored and refinished or cleaned and polished with new upholstery. We specialize in handcrafted furnishings that are one-of-a-kind statement pieces using exotic Brazilian cowhides. Our unique designs consist of chairs, ottomans, footstools, benches and pillows.
All of our furniture and accessories are locally handcrafted or restored.
