About Shweta

Artist, designer and entrepreneur Shweta is the creative talent and driving force behind the international brand Shweta Mistry, a textiles and wallpaper business based in Scotland.

An artist at heart, Shweta is driven by her passion for art, history and nature.

Growing up in modern India and studying art at MSU University, Shweta has gone on to travel and study internationally across the USA, France and Scotland. Her influences are rich and diverse with a strong undercurrent of historical and modern Indian paintings and modern European art and design.

Glasgow School of Art Masters of Research graduate, one of Shweta’s favourite memories is the Hans Wegner wishbone chair and Pichwai paintings from her father’s home in India.

The Process

Working with traditional meticulous painting techniques and ancient pigments that date back from 11th century BC, Shweta has learned from a third generation master artist, Manish Soni.

Shweta uses cutting edge digital technologies to transform her unique artworks into original exclusive fabric and wallpaper designs that are inspired in equal parts by art, history and nature.

Her exclusive collection of textiles and wallpapers are made in the UK to the highest quality specifications catering for interior designers, boutique hoteliers, retailers as well as bespoke individual client requirements.
