I rescue wonderful albeit battered paintings from ruin and hunt for unusually beautiful and odd relics. I'm drawn to pieces because of their inherent aesthetic value. My background in fine arts and design as a graduate from Rhode Island School of Design is influential, and it provides a unique prospective as both artist/craftsperson and designer. Eclecticism defines my style; beauty is beauty whether it is gilt wood or corroded metal.
I worked for many years designing interiors for an architect. I wasn't trained in interior design, but my background gave me a distinctive viewpoint rooted in color and materiality. Since I was teenager, I've been hunting for treasures at antique shows and shops. It's what I love to do.
