Every piece in this shop is a handcrafted cloisonné enamel painting — a technique with roots stretching back over 600 years to the imperial courts of China. The process is slow and unforgiving. Fine metal wire — gold-toned, hand-bent — is laid down to form every outline you see. The colors come from crushed natural mineral pigments, not synthetic paint. Each cell is filled by hand, then kiln-fired at high temperature. What emerges is a surface with a depth and warmth that no print can replicate.
