With nearly 30 years of experience in the luxury interior design industry, a national trade showroom, and a textile collection, Dallas-based Meredith Ellis has vast knowledge and resources in the field of design and decorating. Early in her career, Ellis trained under acclaimed designers Michael Smith and Bunny Williams, working on projects on both the West Coast and East Coast before returning home to Texas to found her own studio.
Ellis knows what it takes to make a home feel authentic, personal, unique, and welcoming. She is an expert at layering fabrics, incorporating antiques and art, all while weaving in the client’s needs to create a home that is storied, classic, high-functioning, and inviting.
Ellis and her well-trained Meredith Ellis Design team take a hands-on approach working closely with architects, contractors, and craftsman to ensure a successful end-product, all the while remaining focused on managing budgets, timelines, and schedules.
Ellis specializes in large-scale renovations, new construction, and whole-house decorating. In addition to projects in Texas, Meredith Ellis Design has completed projects that span the country, from Maine to California.
Beyond her design practice, Ellis owns JAMES, a to-the-trade showroom with locations in Texas and New York, and designs an eponymous textile collection.
