    A working fine arts and interior design studio located in Downtown Greensboro, NC, home to Artist Ron Curlee, specializing in large abstract artwork on canvas, and Ron Curlee Design, offering interior design solutions to residential and commercial spaces.     Artist Ron Curlee, Specializing in large abstract art work on canvas.

    His work can be found in collections throughout the United States as well as Australia. His formal training in Italy and international travel is apparent in his extensive body of work.

    Ron was born and grew up in Lenoir, NC. Before entering high school he studied art under the instruction of Celeste Mason, an Interior Designer, who taught art as an extension of her design studio. Subsequently, he studied under Denise Baker, a Western North Carolina artist, for four years.

    As an extension of his training in the fine arts, Ron pursued more technical aspects of the arts, leading him to his formal education at Randolph Community College and receiving an Associates of Applied Sciences degree in Commercial Graphics. Immediately following his graduation he entered the University of Georgia’s Studies Abroad Program and relocated to Cortona, Italy, where he studied various techniques in Sculpture and Art History.

    Upon returning to the US Ron began working with Smith Design Associates in Morganton NC and his career in Interior Design began to grow along side his career as a Fine Artists.

    Though varied in style and composition, Ron’s work on canvas has emerged into several distinct series of work for which he can be easily identified. Each of these series of work can be seen within this site.

    As a result Ron’s work on canvas his paintings can be found in collections and on display in MI, OH, FL, NY, MA, WA, LA, CA, GA, and Australia.
