I've operated a restoration shop, Blackstone Furniture Restorers, for 30 years, but began selling by consigning in upscale shops in Boston's downtown. In 1999 I began selling the same high quality merchandise in a low cost industrial space, and hence The Barn at 17 Antiques was born. Since then The Barn has become a favorite resource for Boston's designers and discerning homeowners. In more recent years I've formed a collaborative with two of my longtime craftsmen employees, and fellow dealers, Neal VanReesch and Nilton Piveta. We all have an inherent appreciation for the high quality, superior design and exceptional craftsmanship of these earlier pieces. We expertly clean, adjust and make ready for every day use, all that we sell. And we find it easy to sell what we appreciate and value.
