Erica Michele is an abstract and figurative painter based in the Carolinas. Born and raised in South Carolina, she has lived and traveled throughout the U.S. and abroad while studying and practicing law. With no formal art education or training, she began painting in 2019 to help process developing a visual impairment and navigate her healing experience.

Composed of intuitive brushstrokes, spontaneous lines, and an innate control of negative space, Erica Michele’s art explores the relationship between sight and vision and encourages the viewer to look within to see more. Her art is influenced by her health and wellness journey and inspired by her agricultural roots, heritage, and family’s legacy.
