Dane has completed sophisticated, polished, and comfortable interiors in many of Boston’s “It” buildings — including Millennium, One Charles, The Four Seasons, and 22 Liberty — as well as sprawling Cape Cod estates, luxury suburban properties, and stately townhouses in Boston's and Cambridge's most prominent neighborhoods.
Dane partners with luxury residential realtors, architects, and homeowners to save time and resources by helping to navigate through the hundreds of decisions involved with remodeling a home or designing a new one.
He has worked with Fortune 500 executives, tech industry leaders, CEOs, financial experts, attorneys, athletes, entrepreneurs, producers, pharmaceutical reps, and other prominent professionals, often when they are relocating to the greater Boston or Washington, DC metro areas.
Dane Austin Design has gained considerable acclaim from magazine editors and influencers for one-of-a-kind interiors, exceptional customer service, and extraordinary custom furniture designs. His work has appeared in numerous design publications nationwide.
Clients are drawn to Dane’s keen eye for color and an inherent sense of style. He approaches each project through a modern lens, creating compelling spaces that marry traditional and contemporary design. Ultimately, at the heart of every project is the belief that the best décor expresses personality and place; the resulting environments are joyful, inviting, and above all, livable.
Dane’s design process, what he calls The Signature Experience, is a highly organized and customer-driven plan that delivers custom solutions for full-service, turnkey projects.
“It is so important that our clients know they are in good hands,” says Dane. “We want them to enjoy the process as much as the final outcome.” As much as he is precise, Dane is also known for his warm, friendly demeanor and quickly earns his clients' trust. He has frequently worked on multiple homes for the same clients – some of whom he has served for more than a decade – and much of his work comes from referrals.
Clients benefit from Dane's long-standing relationships with the region’s leading architects, custom home builders, fabricators, craftsmen, fine furniture makers, and other industry specialists.
After attending college at the Corcoran School of Art and Design at George Washington University and studying decorative art in London and Paris, Dane graduated with two fine arts degrees.
