I love the quality and uniqueness of vintage things! And I particularly enjoy 'saving' them from obscurity to again live on in homes where they are proudly displayed and appreciated. " Treasure Hunting" is exciting and adds to my enthusiasm for life! Offering beautiful things creates great conversation, new friends, and purpose - recycling is good for everyone, particularly the earth.
One of my very favorite stories is about a vintage oil painting that I had offered for sale on the internet and I received an exuberant question from a potential buyer: "Where did I get that painting?" It was from a young woman who recognized the scene and said it was where she spent summers with her grandmother who was an artist. She said she was a newlywed and not in a position to purchase the painting. It was my pleasure to send the painting to her with a note that it symbolically was a wedding gift from her deceased grandmother. My favorite saying: "The gift is in the giving."
