We are an Eclectic Creative Studio located in historic downtown Hollywood, Florida.

Partners in 'artistic' crime, Edda Caban & Carlos Plaza needed a place where to work their respective crafts, so they decided to rent a small space in a historic building downtown Hollywood, that also serves as an Art Gallery
and Upcycling Art School, in partnership with the Hollywood CRA.

J.A.A.G. represents artists from all over the world, but specially from Latin America and the Caribbean, where they are both originally from.

Edda is a Puerto Rican ‘multi-talented’ artist and a vintage furniture ‘freak’, specially in the Mid-Century Modern style. She likes to call what she does ‘Furniture Up-cycling’, and has been doing it for over a decade. She also likes to work with multimedia collage compositions, as well as polaroid photographic self-portraits, depicting herself in many different contexts and as various imagined characters, ‘loosely inspired’ by the work of American artist Cindy Sherman.

Carlos, a native of Venezuela, is a graphic designer by trade who has had a lifelong interest in photography, one of the many things he had in common with his late father, who was a professional photographer as a young man in their native Venezuela, and introduced him to the art of taking pictures as a teenager when they moved to Vienna, Austria, in 1980. His photographic images are the result of many years of taking pictures of 'everyday life' or 'found treasures', in this tropical paradise he has made his home for the past three decades.
