Great white vase in Mazzotti painted majolica. Albisola, the early twentieth century Albisola origin period early twentieth century Mazzotti Albisola Giuseppe Mazzotti, known as Bausin, was born from a family of vessels in Albissola Marina on November 17, 1865. He was very young working as an apprentice at the Ceramic Suck's Factory of Nicolò Fornari in Albisola Capo. After a few years he is hired as a return in the Bonfiglio factory in Livorno. Subsequently, always as a return, he moved to Naples where he works at the manufacture-Bottega that the Piccone Albisolese family had opened in the Neapolitan capital. Returning to Albisola we find it Vasaio in the furnace of Nicolò Poggi under the direction of Luigi Quaglino. In 1893 he married Caterina Gerbino Promis. Three children were born from the wedding: Torido in 1895, Tullio in 1899 and Vittoria in 1907. In 1903 he sets himself on his own by opening a laboratory, the 'Factory of traditional and modern art ceramics of Giuseppe Mazzotti' subsequently called 'M.G.A.', In Vicolo del Pozzo Garitta at the center of Albissola Marina and three years later he wins, with some of his works, a gold medal at the Savona artisan exhibition. His work is above all that of his children Tullio and Torid who collaborate with him to the manufacture obtains numerous awards and in the world. In Paris in 1935 he obtained the Grand Prix. The manufacture always achieves great successes and becomes famous both for the avant -garde production that realizes both the most important artists and ceramists active in the Albisole both in the ranks of its collaborators. with the Second War, the factory is forced to close and in 1944 Giuseppe Mazzotti died, as a clearer, in San Michele di Mondovì. Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
