The lamp is sculpted in organic shape and … Read more Beautiful stoneware table lamp made by "Henri Keramik", Denmark, in the 1960s. The lamp is sculpted in organic shape and glazed with a wonderful glazing in earth coloursnwith pink elements. Signed underneath. Handmade at Henri Nielsens own studio in Odense, Denmark in the 1960s. While Hans J. Wegner, Kaare Klint and Finn Juhl led the way for the success of Denmarks dominance at the field of modern furniture production Danish arts and crafts was also flourishing. The most well-known names are probably Silversmith George Jensen, Ceramist Axel Salto and Woodworker Kay Bojesen, but despite Denmark's modest size, there were a multitude of small workshops with arts and crafts that produced high-quality objects to everyday life. Much of it was sold directly from the workshops, but also more established shops such as "Den Permanente" and "Illums Bolighus" in Copenhagen exhibited and sold works from these workshops in the 1940-70s. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
