Good conditions except for slight cutting and folding on the margins. Kumi Sugai (1919-1996) was a Japanese painter, sculptor, and printmaker, one of the first generations of post-war Japanese artists to join the international avant-garde art scene. Like many Asian artists of his generation, he settled in Paris and adopted a western style in his art. Best known for his Minimalist and Hard Edge geometric abstractions, the artist was deeply influenced by the relationships between Japanese calligraphy and Western typography. His art is associated with Pop Art movement and Abstract Art. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
