*with the Vase Basequadra, Michele de Lucchi wanted to connect the transparency of glass to the roughness of raw metal. The only decoration is the natural effect of oral -blown, unpaved glass, which mainly consists of quartz sand, iron oxide and chrome with its characteristic and inevitable green color.
Blown with the mouth into such a clean shape as a cup, a vase almost becomes a lens through which the completely changed world is seen. (from the Produzione Privata Homepage)
