Antique Navy Blue Persian Kerman Rug D12722, Country of Origin / Rug Type: Persian Rugs, Circa Date: 1880 – The captivating, soft colors, and exquisite fine detail of this carpet make it recognizable as a Kerman masterpiece. This carpet was created around the turn of the 20th century and shows the superb artistry and skill of the Kerman weavers. Kerman is a city that was once known for the creation of carpets for the courts and aristocracy of the Safavid Dynasty. Their designs are known for their detail, and they have motion and flow from one area of the design to the next.
The high knot count allows for the creation of a level of detail that is mesmerizing. It also contributes to the supple, soft handle of the carpet. The close-clipped pile allows the design to remain crisp and fresh. The beautiful palette blends together like a fine watercolor painting. The paneled design of the carpet and black outlining gives it an Art Nouveau feel, even though this carpet relies entirely on traditional Persian design elements that go back several centuries.
The palette of the carpet is soft and inviting, bringing lightness into the room. The Navy blues, gentle pinks, and earthy neutral browns allow it to blend with historical and contemporary color palettes. The carpet uses soft shapes and curves to create upward motion. This also gives the carpet a feeling of grand scale that could easily complement larger architectural elements in the room.

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).

Cancellations

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
