Chinese elm construction with original hardware and locks. Original red lacquer shows over the years from cleaning it has been rubbed off giving a marvelous patina that took a century to obtain. Drawer fronts show intricate carvings with the original red lacquer in the background. Lineage traces this back to China where the piece was brought to the US. This cabinet features ALL the original hinges and door locks which is hardly ever found due to age. Please note the locks are handmade, drawer pulls are hand hammered and are driven through the drawer front almost as nails. See less
