The base is a very ordinary teak cabinet, in the shape of a cube. Out of the two pieces, this piece is by far the cooler of the two. This desk/cabinet combo can also easily be place on another piece of furniture or a low cabinet of your choosing

The cabinet is in very good condition with only a couple issues. There are two spots with cosmetic issues. One being on the front on the lower shelf, a dent in the veneer. The other issue is the lock will not stay in the locked position. I believe it to be an issue with a spring. However, if you plan on leaving the desk portion down all the time, then you wouldn’t need to bother having it fixed.

Comes with key! Shelves are all adjustable. Some slight discoloration from where the shelves were prior. See less
