Palazzi”, engraved by “Cava. Giusep. Vasi”. This wonderful Etching represents the Capitol festively decorated in occasion of the Feast of S. Peter and Paolo (29th June 1775). Signed on plate lower margin. Original Title with a detailed capture under the picture. In Very Good condition. Ref: G. Sassoli, Apparati architettonici per fuochi d'artificio, 1994, p.155, n. 97. Master of Giovan Battista Piranesi, Giuseppe Vasi (Corleone, 1710 - Rome, 1782) was an Italian engraver best known for his Roman vedute, i.e. Delle magnificenze di Roma antica e moderna (1747-61), a collection of 200 plates, 10 books. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
