Ii (page 372) carl klinkosch had owned the silver manufactory "mayerhofer & klinkosch", having been founded in the year 1830 by stephan mayerhofer and carl klinkosch: the manufactory mayerhofer & klinkosch had been one of the most successfull silver manufactories of old imperial austria. There was a change in the year 1869 when the son josef carl klinkosch became single owner of manufactory - therefore firm's name was changed into: "gold-, silber- und metallwaren-fabrik j. C. Klinkosch". But firm's success remained the same: josef carl klinkosch worked very often under the authority (per order) of austrian emperor as his father had done. Many of klinkosch's works are kept safe in former viennese imperial castle (in so-said 'hofsilber- und tafelkammer' of viennese castle). Josef carl klinkosch died in the year 1888, and the firm was taken over by his sons arthur (died 1899) and isidor (died 1914). The klinkosch firm was bought by arthur krupp in the year 1918 and was active by use of name „j.c. Klinkosch a.g.“ then. The manufactory gave up existence in the year 1972.
