Most elegant design = baroque form & engraved initials hg. Additionally, this cutlery set is kept in gorgeous wooden chest made of oakwood (refurbished by hand): two doors - having lock and key - are existing at front side / additionally, a hinged platter which is upholstered at inner side is attached to chest's upper side. Inside there are five drawers with knobs visible, all of them well-equipped with finest interior decoration (interior design) presenting this flatware set's parts in most elegant manner. This cutlery set / flatware consists of following parts: 18 dinner knives. 18 dinner forks. 18 soup spoons. 18 appetizer knives. 18 appetizer forks. 18 appetizer spoons. 18 coffee (dessert) spoons. 18 ice-cream spoons. 18 fish knives. 18 fish forks. 18 cake forks. 18 mocha spoons. 18 forks for fruits. 18 knives for fruits. Koch & bergfeld was founded in year 1859 by gottfried koch, together with former apprentices, ludwig wilhelm bergfeld and georg gottfried daniel bergfeld / this firm was one of the leading silver manufacturers in germany at turn of century (circa 1900) as well as during first quarter of 20th century. The company is still existing and for this reason koch & bergfeld is one of the longest active silver manufactories of germany. - the jeweller august linden was responsible for sales and marketing of this cutlery set since his name is visible at inner side of hinged platter: the concerning firm was established in year 1901 at following address: essen (germany), limbeckerstrasse 2. Silver 800 branded by german silver official stamp: crescent with crown. Made circa 1900. Measures of chest: height: 38.0 cm / 14.96 inches. Depth: 41.0 cm / 16.14 inches. Width: 54.0 cm / 21.25 inches. Total weight of cutlery service / flatware: 11000 grams / 387.20 oz excellent condition there aren't any imperfections existing. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
