Listing is for a 19th century Federal wooden mirror with hand painted depiction of General Lafayette arriving back in New York harbor. I believe this was inspired by a Clews earthenware platter and brilliantly captures the military salute and the Stars and Stripes.
I do not think the painting is original to the mirror.
