ORIGINAL DANNY GESCHARDT 'NANTUCKET #150' ABSTRACT OIL PAINTING
This is just a great original piece. I actually recently picked up a pair of paintings done by the Geschardt family. Actually one of the paintings was done by Danny Geschardt and one was done by Reagan Geschardt. Both are outstanding works. This one is done by Danny. For those not familiar with the artist, I have included his biography below. This is a wonderful abstract in colors. Acrylic on canvas measuring 30 x 30 inches. Signed lower right. Painting is in outstanding as painted condition. A wonderful thick stretcher as it was created with no frame. On the back of the canvas is the artist's name and title in pen. Really just a beautiful work. Priced at a fraction of what they typically what they sell for. Do your own research on the artist. If you also like his wife's work, check my store for the other I am offering. A great chance to pick up a pair of their paintings at a fraction of what they retail for.
For those not familiar with the artist his biography from his gallery reads: "His work is abstract and quite textural with a mixed medium of acrylic and oils and sometimes charcoals and pastels. Brightly colored and filled with emotion, Danny fills the canvas with passion and life. He began his career in New York City overseeing the showroom and production for fashion designer, Zoran. His time working in the fashion industry allowed him to experiment with colors and textures of fabrics. He now uses the same approach while layering his canvases. Presently, Danny lives in New Vernon, New Jersey. He makes frequent jaunts to New York City, where he still takes advantage of everything the city has to offer, especially museums. Studying artists and their works in person has carried over into his own mind, fueling his need to create. “My artwork is a direct reflection of who I am, what I have experienced and where I have traveled. Painting gives me the ability to speak in ways that otherwise, for me, are not so easy. It’s a time I feel most fulfilled and can just let go.”
