This "painting within a painting" depicts a still life with vases of flowers; a painting of an orange tabby cat hangs on the wall behind. Bright, saturated colors in a great complementary palette of purples and yellows. Signed "H. Binney" at lower left. Undated but estimated to be circa 1970. Acrylic or oil on canvas. Original framing is in great condition. Nice walnut wood frame with straight, simple lines. Natural linen liner with gold painted wood trim on inside edge. Wire hanger on reverse. Measures 22.5 x 28.5 inches overall (canvas size is 18 x 24 inches). A highly decorative piece with age, charm, and character. See less
