A great piece of social history, this sign is in wood it has been made with applied large letters, sadly here is a few bits missing but they could be restored if wished the double-sided sign would have hung outside a rural cafe it proudly announces teas with hovis and underneath the well-known slogan written in a scroll shaped cartouche taking up shape of the lower side of the sign “the rule of the road” unrestored a treat gem the sign is 26” high, 33” wide and 3” thick.
