Its top with pretty wooded shades … Read more Lovely little 1920 period showcase, entirely designed in veneer wood, except on its rear.
Its top with pretty wooded shades surrounds itself with two lemon fillets, contrasting with its natural color. Its periphery has a fine throat molding. At the rear, this tray has a backsplash, itself embellished with a marquetry frieze representing an period casserole and vegetable scrolls.
This storage furniture consists of a door opening by the right. In the upper part, its plating panel sees its angles decorated with bores, all connected by a lemon tree, thus forming a square. In its center is arranged a beveled mirror forming a diamond. The lower part is glazed, and reveals an interior garnished with four fixed molic shelves in solid mahogany, with an identical depth of 27.5 cm.
This property is provided with its entrance to the lock, its key and its brass lock. The whole is original and in excellent working order.
The cabinetmaking technique described previously is taken up in the entourage of the door as well as on the uprights of the furniture, so as to intensify its shades.
The whole rests on a protruding plinth, with a slightly cut facade.
This showcase stands out for its elegant appearance, and we will particularly appreciate the meticulous work from which it has benefited.
