This unique basket is made of bended bamboo, a skilled manufacturing technique. In fact, the organic material is bended through a traditional method called "piegatura a caldo", which consists by the usage of steam which allows the bamboo to be delicately bended. This past wisdom allows to achieve a remarkable variety of elegant decor pieces, characterised by extreme strength, lightness and durability.
Back in the days wicker elements were really popular in Italian houses and they are in vogue nowadays.
This beautiful organic piece was part of a second mountains home and it comes in perfect bright conditions. It seems that time has never been passed!
It is made of bamboo sticks and it was originally conceived as an umbrella stand but it can also be used to store your drawings or blankets.
