Very rare goldscheider art deco ceramic figure of the 1920's: depiction of a standing pierrot in a slightly bent position, … Read more Very rare goldscheider art deco ceramic figure of the 1920's: depiction of a standing pierrot in a slightly bent position, his right hand in the pocket of his costume, which is put together in typical harlequin fashion: monochrome rose-colored alternating with black-and-white checked fabric. Over his pierrot hat, he wears a small black pointed hat that, when his head is tilted forward, points in the same direction as the pointing finger of his left hand. The figure is based on a light gray, flat round base, the artist's signature 'laurenzl' faintly on the top, left behind designed by josef lorenzl (1892-1950), one of the most important designers who worked for the goldscheider manufactory in the period of 1920-1940.
