The scene depicts moored boats, a bridge and perhaps, St. Paul's Cathedral in the background. This beautiful dish is banded in light green and has gold gilt banding around the center as well as notched edges, surrounded by rope trim. Backstamp reads: Swinnertons, Staffordshire England, Majestic vellum, Reg.No. 837607. There are also faint artist marks. Measurements for this fabulous creation are: Diameter=10 inches. This beautiful plate has been well cared for, gently displayed and is in excellent vintage condition and is free from chips or cracks. There is some light crazing on the back of the plate, as well as some gold gilt losses. This gorgeous plate is the perfect addition to your china collection, particularly if you like English historic scenes. See less
