Created in China during the late Qing Dynasty period in the early years of the 20th century, this versatile piece would be wonderful used as a coffee table, blanket chest or simple storage unit. The chest features a rectangular planked lid opening thanks to a traditional brass lock to reveal an interior convenient to store any item such as blankets and linens. The chest showcases a dovetail construction visible at the panels' junctions. The sides present C-scroll handles allowing the piece to be moved more easily. The ensemble is raised on bracket feet.
